1994 G&L ASAT

1994 G&L ASAT, one-piece maple neck, 22 frets, 2 P-90 style pick-ups, standard Tele 3-way selector switch in a cherry sunburst finish thru-out. This guitar gets to the point real quick with the sounds of a Telecaster, only with added mids and a funky honkiness that makes country playing a blast. With a moderately thin neck-width, it's easy to grab and bend the double-stops and all the array of pedal-steel licks you can muster. The maple neck is soft and bare, yet the frets are bigger than standard Fender frets so you can really dig in. The pick-ups are really great sounding, a sort-of P-90/humbucker that screams in the bridge position yet has great harmonics and a bolder richness not present in standard Teles. The neck position is warm and funky and the killer combination sounds total Nashville. This baby also rocks and twangs and can deliver an arsenal of varied tones. The closeness of the volume and tone knobs to the strings and the even tapered-ness give more authentic pedal-steel control too. The finish doesn't just stop at the face of the body either and is sensational looking, a class act.
